My favorite subject.

Is it possible that nicotine is not the cause of any withdrawal symptoms…?

Air monitoring at large public electronic cigarette events.

I’ve covered this before…at length with Meg about pounding sand here.

See here George – what we’re going to do is get volunteers to act like the public and get them to go in to this convention with backpacks with a hidden an air sampling pump.

We’ll do it discreetly and try to be all sciency. Boy, I sure hope we can get away with it…. then, we’ll use those backpacks to stash all that grant money!

Air monitoring at large public electronic cigarette events.

There are FEW professionals who are bold enough to stand UP and make some noise.

This exchange below showing Simon Chapman being challenged about being challenged is louder. I want to personally thank you who are standing UP and fighting like Dr. Wodak, Dr. Danko and others. You know who you are.

If you’re interested, here’s the full thread.

Science Lesson: Lamppost Epidemiology And The Lack Of Self-Correction

I’ll call this one “The Emperor wears no bias”.

These are some of the people…..

I purposely haven’t found myself in or around a vaping convention of any kind… I still have never been to one. That subject is for another time.

I did, however, take a trip up to Columbus, Ohio last weekend. On purpose.

A long overdue meet with a few stellar people at the Vapor Station (Hilliard, Ohio) with (among others) James Jarvis (& his wife) of the Ohio Vapor Trade Association, FIG Ramsey who I’ve adored since forever… and the brain behind Gonzo GivesMike Peterson of 2 Stone Vaping, and finally, a man I’ve admired and stalked followed since December of 2014, and met briefly after the premiere of A Billion Lives, David Goerlitz.

If these are the people I’m surrounded by and engaging with at a vaping convention, I’ll be at every single one I can get to. These are some of the people who are making some noise. These are some of the people who are paying attention. These are some of the people around the country who are #LoudER. These are some of the people who are passionate, caring and attentive. These are some of the people making the world a better place. These are just some of the people who DO something.

Surrounding myself with those smarter than I – is my goal, and that was achieved.

Here’s me just moments (or an hour or so) after I touched a Fig.

Vaping Saves Lives. Voices From The Survey.

This is you. At the beginning of the Vaping Truth Survey (Final Analysis), I wanted to collect answers, and create a collective voice based on our experiences of vaping for others to see and find – like talking to a friend about it. No, it’s not scientific. I don’t always look to science to find out if something works for others. I just want to see other opinions, views and experiences they’ve had to help with my decision.

Think how one more smoker or tobacco user, if they like, can read about it privately while contemplating it like we all did after a discussion with themselves or a loved one about it, searching for answers to vaping. Maybe they are afraid to ask someone. Maybe they don’t know anyone who vapes. Maybe pride is in the way. Maybe they just believe the misinformation in the media, perpetuated by “experts”. We all know the media, public health and politicians conveniently won’t figure out where to find valid research here:  Real Research

They don’t tell you there is a medical community well on board here with: M.O.V.E

They won’t see this extensive and powerful research done by Kellie Forbes (BScN RN, a member of M.O.V.E.) to help others to find a way to the truth here in PDF form: Vaping-the-truth-USA

or her interview with the M.O.V.E. organization here:

With over 7,000 worldwide participating from 72 countries, there is a collection of information for those looking quietly on the internet for answers about it… and I hope this blog is a point to find truth. We’re not all exactly the same, we don’t have the exact same experiences, but collectively, we share a common thread. We know vaping works, and we want others to know it, hands down.

I chose to search “saves lives” and to that effect on the “Any other comments? Suggestions? Thanks for taking this survey!” section on #15….

I said you had a voice. You chose to use those voices. Here are just a fewand I thank you for it.

No edits, just what you put:

professor peter hajeck said in a youtube video published by his university earlier this year that in years to come, this whole contraversy will be written about in history books. i hope the current day opponents of e-cigs can live with themselves when they realise if they had been open with the science and truth about this product from the start, more lives could have been lengthened and saved.

Vaping has saved me. I smell, look and feel better. People aren’t repulsed by my scent when I come inside a room. I am more confident in myself when I talk to others. No more, “I hope I don’t smell like ashes.” I am truly a much happier person.

Please, please… anything you can do to make Vaping more widely known and available to the public will be welcome.
Vaping saved me from smoking and probable serious health issues. I’m sure many others would also see the same benefit I have – if only Governments and business would get out of the way and make it available for all smokers.

RELAX AND VAPE, onwards and upwards. The best is yet to come if we vapors are vocal about keeping the government from ruining our new industry that has already saved countless lives and not to mention countless tax dollars that would have been spent on medical bills for people dieing from smoking related illnesses.

I feel it’s saved my life!
Monday, Dec 22nd 12:31AM

Vaping saved my life. I believe it isn’t natural and in no way should be endorsed for everyone to do but it should be encouraged to smokers to end smoking. Honestly, I don’t even eat candy anymore because of vaping. I can just put whatever flavor juice I want instead. I watched people hack and cough around cigarette smoke and my grandmother is sitting in a chair dying from stage 4 emphysema from smoking all her life. My children used to cough when I would go for a smoke break and come back inside. That’s what opened my eyes that I needed to quit. Smoking kills and it’s been proven. It hasn’t for vaping.

Best stop smoking device ever created. Perhaps the biggest breakthrough in public health in terms of potential lives saved since penicillin. How can anyone in their right mind hinder this instead of championing it?
Tuesday, Jan 13th 12:44AM

Vaping has literally saved my life – I was borderline COPD and emphysema, and both have reversed to the point where it’s almost impossible to tell I ever smoked.
Tuesday, Jan 20th 12:39PM

None, other than this: I believe that vaping has saved / extended my life.
Tuesday, Jan 20th 2:26PM

Without a doubt in my opinion, vaping works. I have no doubt in my mind that vaping has saved my life.
Saturday, Jan 24th 5:29AM

I tried patches, gum, chantix, we’ll but in & cold turkey. Nothing made me quit smoking until I discovered vaping. I feel so much healthier l. I don’t cough anymore or cough up nasty phlegm. I don’t get short of breath. I feel like I can breath. I smell and taste so much better. Best of all, I don’t stunk like an ashtray anymore. Vaping saved my life!

vaping changed my life!
Thursday, Dec 25th 10:07PM

Vaping has changed my life ! Every smoker should try it and help us make this a smoke free world .
Friday, Dec 26th 2:20PM

I always use the term “switched” not quit because I still have nicotine in my juice and I’m still performing the same steps I would if I were “smoking” cigarettes, putting something to my mouth(although holding it differently) and inhaling,I’ve just changed some of the ingredients. Telling me to get rid of my nicotine and flavors completely, is like telling someone to drink unflavored decaffeinated coffee only, it won’t happen. I really hope we don’t lose our right to vape.
Sunday, Dec 28th 11:48AM

Tuesday, Dec 30th 8:39PM

Thanks for making this survey. My answers were sincere for being past my bedtime. Vaping matters to me; It changed our lives for the better. I would appreciate a little extra safety regarding the liquids, and metals used for tanks/coils. I do not, however, wish to move backward where nicotine consumption is concerned. I honestly believe the negativity heaped on vaping resonates in a not-so-coincidental way with the wishes of tobacco companies; namely that vaping should go away. If anything is a gateway drug for cigarettes I would look toward stress. The idea people are going to exodus from vaping to cigarettes is comically dangerous. Kinda like our politicians.

Public Health Officials PREFER you to smoke cigarettes. For Immediate Release

For Immediate Release: Public Health Officials prefer you to smoke cigarettes and some are getting away with it.

Around the world, many Public Health Officials, including Doctors, are falsely continuing to claim “e-cigarettes”, also known as “vaping” as a dangerous method to stop smoking, despite the expected protocol to normally show proof.

Not one official has provided proper documented evidence to their claims of “dangerous”, despite the severity; a first to those in what is normally considered a highly prestigious position of authority with these types of claims.

Apparently, they are using their prestige inappropriately and would rather you smoke cigarettes than to even try an electronic cigarette. Their false claims, collusion, duplicity, hypocrisy and ineptitude, are confusing the masses, despite overwhelming scientific proof vaping is a better alternative to traditional cigarettes.

They are quickly losing respect from their counterparts around the world. These are just three quick examples of what they deny are clearly and easily able to be found:

1. Public Health officials falsely claim nicotine is both dangerous and addictive.According to the Tobacco Harm Reduction website that is not true: Link: Isn’t nicotine itself very bad for you? – No, it’s not.

2. Public Health Officials falsely claim “higher levels of formaldehyde than in cigarettes”. Tests were improperly performed at much higher levels: Link: The deception of measuring formaldehyde in e-cigarette aerosol: the difference between laboratory measurements and true exposure

Judy Judd, Project Director Tobacco Control Program, who shows no professional health credentials: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jmjudd proposes bans like tobacco and thinks vaping “reinforces social acceptance of smoking, and their emissions can contain carcinogens and toxic chemicals” (like claims above) and her position is that “research is in the early stages” which is simply not true. Plenty of studies have been done. Her statements clearly lead one to believe smoking is less dangerous. Counter-intuitive, but a very powerful statement from someone who works for a “tobacco control” program.

This creates confusion with the power of words like “toxic carcinogens”. Judy Judd – showing NO proof with her claims, and no credentials, just that she’s able to use a title as a “director”, not a scientist, has an OPINION here and is not putting health first as she claims in the opinion below:

3. Public Health Officials state “Gateway towards tobacco” like above:

Those claims are also properly dismissed: Link: American Journal Of Preventive Medicine:

It turns out NOT all Public Health cover things up, as you see from the studies & links above.

Some are taking responsibly and PUBLICLY embracing this, and there is a growing list of professionals called

M.O.V.E: (Medical Organizations Supporting Vaping & Electronic Cigarettes): M.O.V.E

If you are a health professional. I urge you to join as well, here’s a list of Professionals showing support of this life saving technology.

A growing worldwide group of Health Professionals who support e-cigarettes with M.O.V.E.

So where do we go from here? I believe we should go to war. We recognize quite clearly that this is a war with a determined enemy. The Public Health field has demonstrated in on every continent that is has forfeited any right to be regarded as anything other than the opposition, joining forces with financially motivated pharmaceutical, political and media interests reaching global proportions.

These merchants of tobacco death are deliberately suppressing information, hiding the truth from the public. They are adamantly claiming there is not enough research, when there is: The reader must ask what the motive is for deceiving or denying the clear information if vaping or “e-cigarettes” as they are called, would only serve to save millions of lives around the world, effectively wiping tobacco out of existence within a few short years. Wouldn’t that be the ultimate goal of “Public Health”?

Maybe they fear the name, e-cigarette. Even a “Simple Simon” knows these are not smoking devices, despite the original name. Some call them personal vaporizers. They only contain a few ingredients already approved by F.D.A. standards. Some even contain no nicotine, or the user can gradually step the nicotine level down at the user’s discretion, unlike cigarettes, well known to have over 4,000 dangerous and carcinogenic and toxic chemicals.

Professors of Public Health unprofessionally say these are dangerous, and deny all existence of overwhelming and conclusive scientific proof vaping is a safer alternative to quit smoking, despite the evidence.

Clive Bates, Former Director of Action on Smoking & Health (London) and founder of the NGO Framework Convention Alliance, set up to support the development of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control has this to say: E-cigarettes, vaping and public health http://www.clivebates.com/documents/vapebriefing.pdf

We as concerned citizens must confront them on every battlefield, whether it be health, political, social, environmental, economic or any other form of media imaginable to help the world understand the depth of their denial to potential loss of life by stopping cigarette smoking at any cost. If you are a Health Professional, I implore you to consider joining M.O.V.E. M.O.V.E: (Medical Organizations Supporting Vaping & Electronic Cigarettes): https://sciencecig.wordpress.com/move/

Dear Smokers: The Vaping Truth.

Clear the decks.

Read this first:

Public Health England Ecigarettes_an_evidence_update_A_report_commissioned_by_Public_Health_England(6).

Then you can read this

I am talking to current smokers on this blog.

I do NOT want you to take my survey unless you vape, have vaped, or did vape and it didn’t work.

That is so I can collect the best information for people I’m talking to right now…

“on the fence, misinformed or unsure”.

(Links for two surveys are at the bottom for survey takers!)

I am, by virtue of some unbelievably awesome people via the web, on Twitter & Facebook, or however you got linked this blog, able to share some thoughts for you from them and I on vaping.

Heard of it? We DO it.

Smokers, vapers WANT you to know a few things.

This one is dedicated to you.

The smoker thinking about it.

I’m not here to ridicule you.

Smoke if you like, do it while you read this!

Some info first.

The following are entities that want you to keep smoking.

Tobacco companies. They like your money, not you.

Health Insurance Companies. They like you paying your premiums – in fear – not you.

Tobacco Control. They like money, not you.

Pharmaceutical companies. They like your money and your continued struggling, not you.

Hospitals & Doctors / Public Health, for the most part. They like your money, not you.

(There are a few stepping up about vaping now, but VERY few).

Media. They LOVE dirt and misconstruing truth for all of the above and money from advertising,  not you.

They’ll tell you what they’re TOLD to tell you.

Finally, your government. They like your taxes you pay, not you.

They also like to control.

These entities don’t CARE about you, or they’d tell you the truth.

Vapers for the most part, are ex – smokers. They were just like you.

Now, below are three charts I consider powerful and disruptive to your thought. You see, I smoked over 30 years.

I found vaping on my own – after years of struggle on quitting, I used cold turkey, the nicorette gum & patch.

Ineffective and honestly obsolete. It didn’t work. To keep this brief, I created a survey, I asked and have so far received almost 6,000 responses (looking for more) to these questions below and along this blog, and are wanting more answers from vapers to help YOU. They’ve come with bells on. Heels a-clickin’ and a voice almost 6,000 strong. I assume you’ll take this a bit more seriously once you see it.

If you noticed, the list above didn’t include vapers.

Vapers for the most part, want you to be aware of this choice we call vaping.

Follow the question, look at the responses. Some call this bias & anecdotal. Well, yep. It is.

Look further down the blog for an awesome explanation for that. It’s the truth either way.

No spin, no made up fairy tales, no mud or silliness. NO we don’t ALL say its perfectly safe. I’d bet 99% of us believe it is, and just pretend it’s all.

Not one of my twitter friends have died, and I ask them periodically!

It’s all fun at first but now we get to facts about what VAPERS SAY.

We don’t care if you smoke (mostly), but we care and want the truth OUT about vaping so you are properly informed.

TOO many lies are out there, we’re taking control of that with this and other means.

You already smoke, it is NOT smoking. It’s NOT.

Are you intrigued?

Read On.

The question / answers are powerful, quick & self explanatory.

In less than a month so far.

Here are my key points for smokers to SEE and understand what vapers say:

What methods did you try, that didn’t work to stop smoking before you STOPPED with vaping?

Clicking on the graph will enlarge it for you.

Sound like you? I may have missed a couple other methods like beating yourself over the head, guilt, family intervention and outright ridicule, but I covered the big ones.

Next, How long did it take by vaping before you STOPPED smoking?

Clicking on the graph will enlarge it for you.

More than 75 % STOPPED SMOKING  within a month. 42 % were within a DAY.
I was less than 48 hours. Trial & error on the others for the month is my assumption of that number is assumed, but they STOPPED SMOKING.

It is NOTED here that of almost 6,000 so far, that 101 said it didn’t work, so there’s that for you to see as well.

Powerful information yet? Is your nose closer to the screen?

I certainly hope so, that’s every single survey takers intention.

To INFORM you of what we’ve experienced about vaping.

Finally, to get your attention, I, in 14 questions chose the third for you, a smoker to take a gander at

It wasn’t really a question, more of a statement from vapers.

Health benefits you’ve noticed since vaping.

Click on it, bring it closer to your face.

dearsmoker2What are you thinking now?

I hope you’re making considerations. This blog is full of stats. I’m just trying to inform you better than the media pretends to, the lies tobacco control spreads, than the drug companies will pretend how they’ll “help” you, and almost everyone on the list that “likes” you will twist truth into “anti-freeze”, phermaldehyde, and gateways for children.

Those are tactics to keep you on their wheel.

Get off the wheel.

Read all you want below, make your now better informed decision.

If you decide to vape  – give it a few days, learn, ask questions, try it. It’s not smoking. A little trial & error and you’ll be on your way. It’s three things. Taste, nicotine strength & backups. You’ll be OFF the smoking wheel.

There IS a medical community well on board here with: M.O.V.E

Here you will see this extensive and powerful research done by Kellie Forbes (BScN RN, a member of M.O.V.E.) to help you and others to find a way to the truth here in PDF form: Vaping-the-truth-USA

or her interview with the M.O.V.E. organization here:

I thank you for your time. I hope we’ve helped you make a MUCH better informed decision.
