Dear President Obama, E-Cigarettes Have: The Poll Results Are In.

pres

Dear President Obama:

To the top man in the United States. I am not sure of your status at the moment after a recent released photo, but you are a former or current smoker.

I created this poll with you in mind. I wanted you to see what people think and have to say about their e-cigarette and how it effects them.

Answers ranged from saving lives, giving new hope to cancer survivors and everything in between, I implore you to BE the example globally, I hope you will take a stand in your Presidency and make a change for the better in the deciding factor on e-cigarettes as a safer alternative away from tobacco.

SPEAK Mr. President. Lives are at stake.

I’m briefly going to tell you why.

This very battle, this very issue, Mr. President, the issue over the safety, the effectiveness and the reliability of e-cigarettes may be questioned in your “Former” President years with deeming regulation closing in from the F.D.A.

As I am positive and completely sure you are aware, The tobacco control world is mostly against this device and would like to regulate it. Tax it. Ban it in some instances.

Taxes are already occurring across the country “like tobacco” because of falling funds/taxes from cigarette sales dropping faster than you can drop your smoke when you hear the First Lady coming around the corner.

If nothing else raises your eyebrow and clears the smoke from your eyes, this should:

There is a responsible group of Professional, Medical, Health, Research and Tobacco Control Experts worldwide

who are well aware of the benefits of e-cigarettes over tobacco.

They are called M.O.V.E. and

they are found here at M.O.V.E

To completely clear, there IS research.

It is here. It is available, and is simply ignored by many.

It is found here at ecigarette-research.org

Here are the results from this poll.

Dear President Obama

Dear President Obama 2

I urge you once again to understand and assess the irresponsible impact both the Centers For Disease Control and Dr. Tom Frieden’s actions may cause with current smokers. They may believe the myth that e-cigarettes are the same.

I implore you to make this an intricate part of the end of your 2nd term legacy as President.

To help curb tobacco use with a positive impact e-cigarettes have for smokers to reduce or eliminate their tobacco use, both for themselves and the way it will influence future generations away FROM tobacco.

The following three comments are from the poll:

Vaping products can not only save the Country money, it creates employment and we know that is needed badly. E-cigarettes have many benefits for the families of smokers through all economic social groups, the big one is less lung disease. More money in in the cookie jar for incidentals, children are feed healthier as less money needed for smokes, no more children sitting in smoke filled rooms. The list goes on far to long. Mr. President help save your people and help fix a portion of the economy, free vaping products to the open market, control the negative communities so all can see the benefits and we all may see an end to smoking in our lifetime

E-cigs are life-savers. They have got to remain freely available, as must the e-liquids for them, yes, including all those wonderful flavors that help so much with quitting smoking. Anything else makes a travesty of the claim to be truly interested in the public’s health

Vaping was the only way I ever actually WANTED to quit smoking. Stop forcing people back onto deadly cigarettes. Its like the war on drugs starting all over only its against nicotine the least addictive part of cigarettes! But they forgot to ever mention that. I couldnt even walk up stairs without being winded & now i can run. I can vape & not smell. I will never smoke again regardless of what happens because im off your chemical cocktail sticks. Why arnt we simply alloud to be happy? We have made serious progress against smoking the government should be aplauding us. Not trying to kill us. This isnt my america. Stop killing & start helping. #vapingsavedmylife

Dear President Obama: Tobacco Use & Ecigs. CDC Director Tom Frieden

obamasit3

(President Obama & CDC Director Tom Frieden)

Dear President Barack Obama:

As a former smoker yourself of 30 years, you can relate to the challenges of becoming tobacco free. Knowing the potential dangers drive the desire to quit despite the difficulty.

The challenge is the same with Americans and abroad, and you CAN become THE leader of tobacco harm reduction worldwide with one swift phone call to CDC Director Tom Frieden on the results and studies at ecigarette-research.org.

In the spirit of going straight to the top (that’s you) and pretending we’re just old friends, two guys emailing back and forth, I implore you to read this and act accordingly regardless of his opinion, regardless of the pending F.D.A.’s deeming regulation on e-cigarettes.

I am SURE you will not take this lightly. Lives are at stake. I hope you will address this immediately and have an adult conversation with Dr. Frieden. Some well needed guidance in the effort on your part, despite his experience in tobacco control could change the world.

I’d like to speak frankly as if you were sitting with me having coffee or playing a game of basketball, regardless of your position, Mr. President. Grow a pair. Get on this. Call me if you must (I’m sure I am in some agency records by now). I’ll GLADLY explain it to you, I’ll gladly guide you or anyone in charge of making that call to the right people.

E-cigarettes SAVE LIVES. Misdirection is a very dangerous game, and you of all people should know how the media likes to elaborate on false claims.

Recently, Dr. Tom Frieden & the CDC released confusing and misleading information to the public about e-cigarettes within the campaign “Tips From Former Smokers”.  Dr. Tom Frieden is nothing less than irresponsible to elude to e-cigarettes being “as dangerous” or equal to smoking cigarettes. To be clear, there are extremely consistent results to the contrary, without prejudice, again at ecigarette-research.org.

Why is this not mentioned or looked at, why is it simply ignored? Ignoring valuable research is nothing less than detrimental to public health. I don’t believe this was oversight. I believe this was blatant misrepresentation and willful ignorance on the part of Dr. Tom Frieden.

As you are a professional politician, you surely will understand the ploy and cry of recent reports of “children” as another way to garner support. I care about the motive, I care more about the end results. Public opinion IS the motive, not public HEALTH.

The children today COULD see their children with much less tobacco use with this technology, their present family members going away from tobacco. The ONLY thing we don’t know is “long term” (it’s already been around more than 10 years), and we’re taking our chances. Without tobacco.Without question, Vaping Saves Lives.

That should tell you the conviction we have in this device, despite the slur of “danger” by all “concerned” with “our” positions. To read some of the fodder, you’d think the “experts” want us to go back to smoking.

The only danger with e-cigarettes after almost two years of my use is the politicians, tobacco control and “public health” downplaying their effectiveness.

Your words below as you appointed Dr. Frieden as Director of the CDC:

https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/president-obama-appoints-dr-thomas-frieden-cdc-director

America relies on a strong public health system and the work at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is critical to our mission to preserve and protect the health and safety of our citizens.

Obama also points to the decline in tobacco use as an example of how effective public health models can be if taken seriously. Obama said, “You know, one of the great victories of this country has been our ability to reduce incidences of smoking, increase the incidences of seat belt use. You know, we save tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of lives every single year. (..on marijuana) ...we just made sure that they were well-informed and if somebody has an addiction, we made sure that we made it easy for them to get help.”

I am sure you will never read this, Mr. President, but if you do, I would hope you’d like to hear more on the positive reduction in tobacco use with e-cigarettes. We call it vaping.

There are millions worldwide waiting on one leader to step up to the plate.

You are not the last resort to ending tobacco use via smoking, death is.
