FDA & Fear

Fear is the business they’re in.

“The Food and Drug Administration is now on the wrong side of a new anti-vaping campaign. Instead of helping teens reject using tobacco or e-cigarettes, the new FDA plan would end up discouraging people from quitting cigarette smoking — an outcome no one wants.”

A Nicotine-Focused Framework for Public Health

The FDA’s Mitch Zeller & Dr. Scott Gottlieb have been published in the New England Journal of Medicine. It’s not a medical study, it’s a letter.

Gippy & Zippy are claiming nicotine is the center of “addiction” & the contrived FDA funded reduction of nicotine as the possible answer to reduce tobacco use…

(Why are other “chemicals” in tobacco not considered addictive or “tobacco”? *“Nicotine constitutes approximately 0.6–3.0% of the dry weight of tobacco”.)

Here’s the “letter” in full:

Professor Glantz

Here lies Professor Glantz (Puff-N-Stuff) babbling about the tobacco industry knowing things like the patch & gum don’t work – unless there’s the obligatory counseling… or some drivel like that.

I don’t ever recall Nicorette saying you’d need counseling with your patch… but I could be wrong.

If nicotine were “addictive” to begin with… ahhhh, I digress.

What the tobacco companies know about NRT: Without counselling, it keeps people smoking

A Nicotine-Focused FDA Framework.

faces

The FDA’s Mitch Zeller & Dr. Scott Gottlieb have been published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

“A Nicotine-Focused Framework for Public Health”

While claiming nicotine is the center of “addiction” and the reduction of nicotine as the answer to reduce tobacco use… their seemingly contrived objective is in part below:

“The agency’s new tobacco strategy has two primary parts: reducing the addictiveness of combustible cigarettes while recognizing and clarifying the role that potentially less harmful tobacco products could play in improving public health. We must also work toward a greater role for medicinal nicotine and other therapeutic products in helping smokers to quit and remain nonsmokers.”

While I am completely opposed to the framing of the nicotine addiction theory without tobacco, there were two other parts I’m not convinced quite yet that we’re on the right path; bold is my emphasis:

  1. reducing the addictiveness of combustible cigarettes”
  2. “We must also work toward a greater role for medicinal nicotine and other therapeutic products in helping smokers to quit and remain nonsmokers.”
  1. The focus on “nicotine” is, in my eyes, a subliminal way to keep the definition of e-liquid as tobacco, manipulate e-cigarette products as tobacco, and collect unjust & undue tax – on a product that is not addictive without tobacco, and not tobacco.
  2. The teetering on medicinal nicotine & other therapeutic products gives a direct odor of pharmaceutical product and control, something they’ve already had and failed miserably with.

I predicted this

In March of 2016:

Keep smoking, we’ll just help you lower your nicotine.

Tobacco Harm Reduction

responsibility2

I didn’t quit smoking. I didn’t stop smoking. I switched to a less harmful alternative. I chose to try a “cig-a-like” and I didn’t want a cigarette within 48 hours, and my wife chose to do the same thing.

My journey was no different than most others who accidentally found an alternative to smoking that actually worked with no withdrawal and no noticeable side effects.

research

After more than four years, I’ve found myself in a cesspool of adults –  specifically professionals with titles and “I love me” walls – who pretend to have no common sense.

I take that back, there are side effects to not smoking with my chosen path.

Reading. LOTS of reading.

Research. Finding answers myself.

Asking questions and “networking”. I have found that if I don’t know or understand, someone will, without fail, answer my question both truthfully and in a way I will understand.

Blogging. To get what I do learn & understand out to others who hopefully will find it – and understand it.

Twitter. Immense knowledge and reference from worldwide advocates.

Questioning.

I am constantly questioning everything I thought I knew I was told about smoking.

Tobacco Harm Reduction.

Health and government organizations don’t subscribe to tobacco harm reduction. With them, you will find cessation.

According to Merriam-Webster, “cessation” is to stop.

  1. :  a temporary or final ceasing (as of action) :  stop mutually agreed to a cessation of fighting

blame

What “organizations” and government are doing is promoting a highly profitable and repeatable business.

The vulnerability of someone with great expectations isn’t considered, it is mocked.

They wrongfully blame the consumer. They blatantly blame “nicotine“.

What they “give away” are products made by pharmaceutical companies and an air of authority, combined with an illusion of an answer to help someone stop smoking.

The reality of these methods and the failure rates is dismal and never discussed.

Entertain yourself.

Call a quitline and ask them about the success rates with the patch or gum.

quit attempts the vaper

Success?

Well, I’ll let the display of an “expert” organization speak for themselves below:

quitting

What you do not see promoted is tobacco harm reduction.

For Life.

For the record, I am not against the patch, gum, lozenge, hypnosis, a self-help book, accupuncture, heat not burn, snus, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes, and other alternatives.

Only if used with extreme caution and understanding the well documented side effects, medication is also avaible to help someone choose to stop smoking.

I am, however against giving improper or bias information to those who don’t know any better and rely on “trusted” organizations, public health & government officials.

I will do this until I can’t type, call, scream, tweet or blog any longer.

Think of the possibilities.

I am a consumer. I have no ulterior motive.

I take that back, I have ulterior motive. The choice of smoker, the non-smoker and education of the consumer.

Tobacco 21: Synar Amendment and Nanny-State Funding

money

If you haven’t noticed

Tobacco control, the public health sector, along with politicians are hell-bent on raising the age from 18 to purchase tobacco to 21 (T21) primarily within cities or counties, not states. They must have hurt themselves to come up with a creative name, though. “Tobacco 21”.

A seemingly enormous amount of energy (and likely tax dollars) are being put into this “effort”.

Those “kids” at 18-20 couldn’t possibly walk, get a ride or drive to the next city or county line now could they? As an example, in Cleveland, Ohio – while the state law is 18 – they’ve passed an ordinance to make it 21.

It is destined to fail.

Read this very carefully…….. and read the astute Agent’s question…

nanny

Nanny State

As Senator Steve Linthicum (R – Oregon) puts it,

“freedom from responsibility” will enable more state intervention for many years to come.

The Senator’s Op-Ed is here:

Smoking age law simply more nanny state

Hawaii

is the only state that has their age restriction to purchase tobacco, and “treat e-cigarettes the same as regular cigarettes” set at 21.

The other 49 states are at 18.

Purchasing and smoking are again two different things.

A few states have restrictions the age to smoke and/or possession at 18, and a few are also at 19. Most do not have a “possession / smoking age”. Hawaii “treat e-cigarettes the same as regular cigarettes”

Smoking age

Conflicting with what I stated above, I also found this “map”.

t21.JPG

Update 6/10/17:

Correction: Hawaii, California, and Washington DC are at 21. (Thanks Skip!)

Riding the boot

This seemingly sudden traction in support for raising the age of smoking does not surprise me. The public takes any THINK of the CHILDREN ™ statement seriously until snot runs down their chin. (The adult’s chin, not the kids).

Not to poke the bear, but – oh screw it – I’ll poke the bear.

At first glance, I see trouble smoke on the horizon.

Tobacco “free” kids. They are saying, without publicly admitting it, that they can’t and HAVEN’T been doing “their jobs” in tobacco control.

You won’t hear them talk about their blatant, blinding inadequacies.

With that, they “should” raise the minimum age to purchase to 21.

Posturing? Absolutely. Looks GREAT in writing? Well -not if you read between the tweets, so to speak. In the scheme of thinks, they’re admitting their organizational failures, lackluster “efforts” and it’s beyond obvious they don’t “help” reduce the smoking rates of teens – or adults, for that matter.

Most people start smoking much earlier, by their own admissionwell before the age of 18 despite laws and ordinances to prevent it.

Will requiring the age to purchase tobacco at 21 make any difference in children under 18 finding ways to get tobacco?

I’d like to think so, but I think not.

The Synar Amendment

While snooping around for the reason to “suddenly” restrict consenting 18 to 20 year old adults from purchasing tobacco at their leisure, I have found with the effort, there is funding and reward.

Here’s a look at the Synar Amendment.

There is also funding to be lost.

States must comply with the Synar Amendment in order to receive their full Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SABG) awards.

Imagine my surprise.

Chapter and Residency Program Mini-Grants for Tobacco and Nicotine Prevention and Control

Again, shocked:

Raising the Minimum Legal Sale Age for Tobacco and Related Products\

Huh… since this blog, they took that link DOWN.

I’ll update as soon as I hear something…

Stay with me – my train of thought is a bit – well – discolored and smokey…

The Synar Amendment. Poof.

In my (highly acclaimed by me) opinion, as the age of purchase was 18, they are having a difficult time keeping their percentage at acceptable levels, and now want to raise it to 21 to recreate the problem.

As my curiosity and attention span equals or exceeds a cat, I briskly asked my favorite tobacco control “expert” of her insight – and I spelled Synar incorrectly in the tweet, forgive me. Tweetin’ ain’t always easy. 🙂

Acceptable levels being – they want them UP so close to 20% that they’re needed, but not enough to lose funding. They’re having a difficult time with that. Smoking rates are dropping MUCH faster than anticipated or desired. See, this plan isn’t working for them.

So…

HOW the *%&^ can TWENTY percent of underage sales BE an ACCEPTABLE level?

I’ll repeat that. The acceptable level of SALES of TOBACCO to minors is set at 20% – and funding will STILL commence. Two out of ten CHILDREN can possibly purchase cigarettes according to this and be acceptable.

(Don’t get me wrong, the WeCard program, in my opinion, is an awesome program from what I see.)

Vape shops were self-regulating and doing this LONG before NICOTINE was deemed tobacco.

Bold is my emphasis

The inspection program, named for late U.S. Rep. Mike Synar of Oklahoma, is a federal mandate requiring each state to document that the rate of tobacco sales to minors is no more than 20 percent at the risk losing millions in federal funds for alcohol and other drug abuse prevention and treatment services.

Here, in 2012, (bold is my emphasis)

demonstrates that the average nationwide retail store infringement rate of tobacco sales is down to 8.5%.

Tobacco Sales To Minors Reach All-Time Low

_________________________________________________

train.JPG

That’s good, right?

Well – wait a minute, the train is chugging but pulling into the station.

According to the “agreement” they can:

“Negotiate interim targets and a date to achieve a noncompliance rate of no more than 20%”

“Nicotine” is now a “tobacco product”. “Use among teens”… so…with e-cigarettes…

If they raise the minimum to 21, they create a whole new class and “infringement rate” – and in the process, create more funding to do what “they’ve” already allegedly done. Job security.

If smokers under 21 want to try e-cigarettes, oh, too bad.

Electronic Cigarette Age Restrictions May Drive Teens to Traditional Cigarettes

Harm Reduction Drives Younger Vapers, Not Flavors

“If “children” are *already smoking, they’re *smokers regardless of age. Think of the children™.”

In the end:

Most of the posturing going on – at least around the United States – isn’t about children.

Sure seemed like it. caphysicians.jpg

Final mixed thoughts:

Obviously, no one’s complained or thrown their arms up about the Synar Amendment  –  they must be just fine with the status quo – as if their funding depended on it.

To have each organization claiming they want to “reduce” tobacco with this disturbing insanity of ANY type of loophole is beyond words.

I don’t want “children” to start smoking as young as I did, and I was purchasing them at 9 without a second look. Within these restrictions, they not only restrict tobacco purchases, they are also lumping in and restricting the choice of e-cigarettes as an alternative.

What I DON’T like is restricting of age consenting ADULTS from choice.

I’m not positive of “where” the Tobacco 21 movement is “going”, but with funding comes diversion and manipulation I can still, at times barely comprehend, so cut me some slack for not having a full grasp on it and its leaders “direction” at the moment. It will come to me eventually.

What do YOU think? I’m sure it will come to one of you.

“Nicotine” is not tobacco.

nicotine thingiverse.JPG

The insideous fight in Australia continues where cigarettes are still legal, and the option of e-cigarettes are being blocked.

This is a guest collaboration blog with my friend, Broony, the Thunder from Down Under.

Nicotine Is NOT Tobacco

The definition of “nicotine” and e-cigarettes must stop being compared to, or thought of, as tobacco.

E-cigarettes are helping people, by choice, permanently switch from smoking to a much less harmful product. Nicotine is not problematic when used in eliquid or snus. It also isn’t harmful in the patch, gum or normal healthy diet. Nicotine is not tobacco.

There are many reasons adults use nicotine, besides pleasure, it is a quick remedy for anxiety, ADHD (yes, adults suffer from that too) and more. Nicotine is also recognised as an aid for schizophrenia, memory loss, and mental health issues.

If nicotine is tobacco, it will be taxed, regulated, and would be designated for funding, health insurance rates and more “as tobacco“.

Other “chemicals” in tobacco aren’t considered “tobacco”.

“Nicotine constitutes approximately 0.6–3.0% of the dry weight of tobacco”.

That’s found here at Wikipedia.

Milk isn’t beef. Syrup isn’t wood.

Should Nicotine Be Classified as Tobacco?

This Is War

fight

The war created to stop vaping is by public health experts and organizations that do not understand nor want to understand the science and pychology of nicotine.

They LIE saying nicotine is addictive.

Continuing the confusion, they pretend the definition of nicotine “is” tobacco and lack intelligence or are unwilling to separate the concept that vaping is another way to decrease tobacco use, nor capitulate vapers are an independent group of individuals who have found that vaping is a successful tool in their lives.

Many studies recognise vapers as ex-smokers who show no signs of being a smoker. This war against e-cigarettes must stop.

black market.JPG

Creating A Black Market

There will never be a successful prohibition, most people who would never otherwise touch black market goods will change their minds to keep from going back to smoking.

Just like smokers in Australia who are not ready (or put off) to switch to vaping already – obtain much of their tobacco now through the black market.

Because they truly cannot affort to appease their habit, people who would not normally break the law are doing so because they are forced to by lies being told to the government by those not prepared to listen to those who know:

Anti Tobacco & Nicotine Zealot, ANTZ for short.

duct tape.JPG

Legalize Nicotine

STOP lying. STOP withholding information for consumers. If vaping was allowed and nicotine infused eLiquid could be sold in Australia, more smokers would eventually switch. Doing so would create less

  • of a burden to the health system
  • downtime at industry
  • money going to organizations trying but failing miserably
  • money going to the black market
  • money going overseas

People are still smoking.  Plain packaging doesn’t work. Cigarettes are still available.

The government must be made to see this and bring change to the laws banning e-cigarettes – effectively blocking smokers from choosing to switch to a virtually harmless alternative nicotine source.

Health aspects of e-cigarettes – Short information for physicians

dr

Dr. Mayer has released this statement informing physicians about the health aspects of e-cigarettes.

“Plasma levels of toxic substances…substantially decrease” and are “identical to the levels of non-smokers…”

“From a medical point of view, individuals who switched from smoking to the consumption of e-cigarettes have to be classified as non-smokers.”

To reduce the risks of smoking, physicians need proper information to rely on and relay to their patients. E-cigarettes are another way to reduce or eliminate smoking.

The worldwide claim of professionals “not knowing” the risks of e-cigarettes has come to a close.

There’s no reason for physicians to dismiss e-cigarettes or less harm to patients.

Ecigs. Clarify this.

clarity

Are you confused about regulations and e-cigarettes? Are they good? Are they bad? Do you happen to be a smoker who doesn’t want to switch or hasn’t because of the confusion surrounding e-cigarettes?

Is it because you’re waiting on experts and government to clarify their position and taking 10 plus years to do it before you try one? Still In the dark?  Still confused? That’s right where they want you.

Let me run down the past few years in six short sentences.

They’re dangerous. We don’t know enough. They’re attracting children. There are chemicals. Oh, there’s nicotine-they’re tobacco. We need more research.

No, no, they’re a medical device. The government moron meter has now been pegged.

They’re looking for their piece of the pie.

Fill your tank, grab your favorite beverage. Double indemnity if you’re up for it.

Moving on.

The Food and Drug Administration have released their latest statement swirling the confusion for the public and small businesses STRUGGLING to comply with these idiotic regulations.

gif-monkey

Sorry – that’s one of the “experts” in tobacco control.

Here it is – from “The National Law Review”

FDA Finalizes New Rule “Clarifying” When a Tobacco Product is Actually a Medical Product

Determining a product’s  intended use is critical to establishing whether a product made or derived from tobacco will be regulated as a medical product .  A drug is defined in Section 321(g) of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), in pertinent part, as “articles intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease in man or other animals”

I’m no attorney, but e-cigarettes do not diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat or prevent disease. Conjecture, dear reader.

(I also haven’t seen any animals smoking lately. Yes I’ve seen the smoking monkey – or ape – you don’t need to clarify that!

“FDA further emphasized that manufacturer claims related to “smoking cessation in the context of curing or treating nicotine addiction and its symptoms” would bring a product within the disease prong of the drug or device definition.”

I’m no attorney, but I suggest the FDA CLEARLY show nicotine in the context of causing HARM or ADDICTION in humans without tobacco or MAOI’s

– then we can agree that nicotine is a “drug or device”.

I’m no attorney, but milk isn’t beef, syrup is not wood, and nicotine is not tobacco.

Again, conjecture and nicotine is NOT addictive, but saying it is, IS.

Proof by assertion, sometimes informally referred to as proof by repeated assertion, is an informal fallacy in which a proposition is repeatedly restated regardless of contradiction.] Sometimes, this may be repeated until challenges dry up, at which point it is asserted as fact due to its not being contradicted (argumentum ad nauseam). In other cases, its repetition may be cited as evidence of its truth, in a variant of the appeal to authority or appeal to belief fallacies.

From Chris Price:

Why isn’t nicotine a Schedule 1 drug?

“They” have fabricated information for ten years – so they can justify their goal to regulate, restrict, tax and ban e-cigarettes as tobacco  – or a medical device – or use them as stump to shout from until they can formulate and succeed in their new found love, a sugar tax.

While they take their time flip-flopping – the folks who WANT to switch and walk into a vape shop are afraid and confused, & small businesses may not be there for them when they do.

Still snickering about the monkey? Good.

In other observations to be confused about, I’ve noticed a – change, shall I say, with Michael Eriksen (Former DirectorCDC’s Office on Smoking and Health) and his demeanor on e-cigarettes while following him on Twitter recently, here’s what I mean.

Truth Initiative tweeted, and Eriksen obliged them;

and then, the next day he tweeted this:

and this….. on Christmas Eve:

That got my curiosity up a bit… I myself had engaged him QUITE a few times to clarify, but he didn’t have time for my question – among other snarky questions over time, here in June 2016.

With that and my child-like curiosity, I wonder about the change of heart. Did he simply change his mind like Jim McManus? Not impossible. Still – I wonder about the change in his demeanor. I noticed the whole bio on his twitter account:

Dean and Regents’ Professor, Georgia State School of Public Health. Former Director – CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health. Tobacco Atlas.

Now that caught my eye. Never noticed it before. What IS that? Not that I’d ever question authority or integrity… Oh, an org…

You may not be back.

Some “usual suspects”:

Thanks and acknowledgements

The Tobacco Atlas – at the bottom, is sponsored by – drum roll please – the World Lung Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

See for yourself what the American Cancer Society (almost to the end) says about e-cigarettes.

I couldn’t find anything on the World Lung Foundation – their site was down at the time of this blog, but On Wikipedia:

The World Lung Foundation applauded the 2014 WHO report’s recommendation for tighter regulation of e-cigarettes due to concerns about the safety of e-cigarettes and the possible increased nicotine or tobacco addiction among youth.

But did remember and find this from Guy Bentley & the Daily Caller.

E-cigarettes: A Public Health STRATEGY Or TRAGEDY

strategy tragedy.GIF

The positioning of Government and health organizations clamoring for “less smoking” is becoming dangerously close to a sitcom without the laugh tracks. Posturing of health officials in the United States has reached a “beyond unacceptable level” – now at the point of being a tragedy.

According to their own numbers, with the money they thought would never end from the Master Settlement Agreement, they are costing lives. Until, of course, taxing e-cigarettes is the norm by making nicotine – tobacco. THEN they will come around.

If they were trying to help their estimated 480,000 tragic deaths from occurring annually, they’d stop being “yes men” to the power of persuasion. Tragically, they’re manipulating the public with no strategy towards harm reduction.

Below is a power-point I’ve put together to show the difference between the strategy from the vaping organizations  – and the United States Government, Health (puppets) officials, and Organizations et al  ~tragedy~ by claiming they’re thinking of public health – despite their titles.

E-cigarettes – A Public Health Strategy or Tragedy

Any smoker still on the fence about e-cigarettes at this point can message ME. If you’re choosing to switch, I’ll give you the basics – or you can browse my blog…

You know when you ask yourself the question “is it me”? Well, my fellow sheep, it’s not just me. Witnessing the insanity as my friend Alan has stated, there is Action Required to Halt Plummeting Public Perception in the world of “public health”.

Another friend across the pond, Paul, has pounded another nail through the forehead of the media’s inability to be journalists:”On the lack of research in the media

Speaking of tragedy – from Dr. Brian Carter, Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association (CASAA) – Director of Scientific Communications:

“They readily accepted all sources as being equally reliable, failing to properly distinguish between established and respected scientific organizations and extremist political front groups with lofty sounding names.”

That, from Dr. Carter, is here: Critical Thinking 101: Source Evaluation

America: Settling for less to reduce smoking.

smoking-image-yahoo-free-to-share-use

If you’re an American looking to reduce smoking, stop settling for less. Quickly step away from the paid advertisements from the pharmaceutical companies to fund the rigorous and glorified “fight” against tobacco by your friendly neighborhood cessation counselors.

Stop settling for less. Stop dialing quit lines, delete your “free” app. Stop paying attention  to a well organized bunch of morons.

Forget everything you’ve heard, learned and been told to ~swallow~ by anyone in authority. Stop feeding into their substandard propaganda.

The general public doesn’t seem to understand the battle waged by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), various public health organizations and other distinguished experts in anti-tobacco and tobacco control.

“They” evidently, don’t understand it themselves. They LOVE fake news.

They’re playing a game.

With your lives.

Don’t let them fool you, “They” do completely understand. If less tobacco use were the ONLY goal, they’d be pounding vaping products through brick walls to get people to stop smoking.

If they had balls, they’d be standing up and screaming at the idiots who are saying e-cigarettes are the same as smoking. They’re so busy fighting the tobacco companies – they forgot how to interact with real human beings.

They’re busy worrying about funding for their organizations. They’re too busy keeping tobacco in the forefront instead of letting it die a slow sun-baked death in the field by itself. Without a lot of work.

Wait, then they’d be out of work. “They” have become common criminals.

“They” have no incentive (funding, income, research grants etc.) to reduce tobacco, so they lie about things like nicotine. Formaldehyde. Popcorn Lung. They sit idly by and watch, make things up, and refuse to speak. They use fairy tales about children.

All the while, you’re still contemplating your decision to reduce or eliminate tobacco from your life, while they claim expertise.

They only know how to control. Yet, they’re out of control. They want you to believe the ineffective methods are the only way to reduce or eliminate tobacco –  for you, and – if you combine that with counseling, you’re sure to be one of the approximately 3-7% who succeed. If not, you haven’t been trying hard enough.

Why are you settling for less? Because “they” say so?

The public does not understand what they may be settling for when it comes to tobacco harm reduction in the United States.

Yet they still want to FIGHT against it….Here’s Mitch Zeller babbling in a relaxed and controlled atmosphereseems he’s confident in his words.

Here’s what you really need to know if you’re struggling with tobacco.

This, courtesy & via The Vaper is another way consumers, without professional ties to industry, are helping each other and smokers thinking of switching to a much less harmful alternative.

E-cig tips for smokers who want to switch

E-cigarettes were invented, & are continuously being improved, by companies that don’t sell cigarettes.

Although big tobacco companies now own or produce several types of basic e-cigarettes, the e-cigarettes sold by non-tobacco companies are far more satisfying and come in many delicious flavors.

Both Public Health England and the Royal College of Physicians have recommended that e-cigarettes be widely promoted to smokers – they estimate that e-cigarettes are at most 5% as dangerous as smoking.

The majority of the health benefits offered by e-cigarettes come down to the fact that e-cigarettes deliver nicotine in a vapor rather than as smoke. It is the smoke that makes smoking most harmful, like heavy smog or smoke from a house fire, tobacco smoke contains at least 60 carcinogenic chemicals. While carcinogens have been detected in some e-cigarette flavorings, it is typically at levels hundreds of times lower than in tobacco smoke.

There is no evidence that nicotine in low doses is dangerous, nor is there evidence that nicotine by itself (when not ingested as part of a combusted product like a cigarette) is carcinogenic. In fact, nicotine has been approved for sale to children 12 & older, over the counter, as nicotine patches and gum. Further, when separated from the complex mix of chemicals in tobacco smoke, nicotine has not proven nearly as addictive as cigarette smoke. Many people who use e-cigarettes gradually lower their nicotine concentration with no noticeable negative effects, and no cigarette craving.

E-cigarettes have already helped millions of smokers to stop smoking. A lot of their success comes down to the fact that they not only replace the nicotine of conventional cigarettes, but also the ‘action’ of smoking, which many ex-smokers using patches & gum miss and which leads to them relapsing to smoking. E-cigarette use by young smokers has caused smoking among youth to fall at an unprecedented rate.

For sensible advice & guidance when looking into buying an e-cigarette, trust mostly the advice from the following sources:

  • Experienced staff at a dedicated e-cigarette shop, or ‘vape’ shop as we call them. These folks are typically ex-smokers/current vapers themselves.
  • Other vapers who have given up smoking. Vapers commonly love helping other smokers to give up, and love sharing their experience to help them get a satisfying flavor & strength of e-liquid, as well a refillable, adjustable ‘vape pen’ or ‘mod’ to transform that e-liquid into the vapor to be inhaled.

Taking up vaping might seem a little daunting, so it’s helpful to use an experienced person to help you find the combination that works best for you. But once a new vaper has found that ‘sweet combination’ that works for them, it is simply the most enjoyable, easy & effective way to cease smoking.

Nothing is safer than breathing fresh mountain air, but if a smoker cannot give up cigarettes using more conventional methods or therapies, e-cigarettes might just be the thing that allows you to break the smoking habit completely, and permanently.

E-cigarettes: Healthier for you, no threat to bystanders at all.

Millions of us, like The Vaper and I, are not allowing you to “settle” for the same tired, drawn out processes the people in “control” would like you to endure. After all, it is mostly a made up game with players from every aspect of tobacco control. Here’s a bit about how your “addiction” came about via Rampant Antismoking:

“The antismoking bandwagon gained considerable momentum in the five years following the EPA report, prior to the Osteen ruling. Also important is that in the early 1990’s the pharmaceutical cartel and pharma-philanthropy (e.g., Robert Woods Johnson Foundation http://www.rwjf.org/pr/product.jsp?ia=143&id=14912) weighed into the circumstance.

The WHO formally partnered with the pharmaceutical cartel in antismoking (http://www.who.int/inf-pr-1999/en/pr99-04.html) Also, “The American Medical Association, Chicago, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), Princeton, N.J., planned, organized and conducted the 11th World Conference on Tobacco OR Health, which was held in August 2000.” – http://www.rwjf.org/programareas/resources/product.jsp?id=17719&pid=1141

Seizing the opportunity for the sale of essentially useless ‘nicotine replacement therapy’ (NRT) if smokers are progressively pressured to quit, the pharmaceutical interests provided more and more funding and momentum to the antismoking bandwagon. So, despite the Osteen ruling, by the late-1990’s antismoking had become a frenzy. Antismokers, through long-time corrupt conduct, dictated all proceedings and antismoking was awash with funding. The march continued towards fulfilling the Godber Blueprint.”

Wikipedia:

Proof by assertion, sometimes informally referred to as proof by repeated assertion, is an informal fallacy in which a proposition is repeatedly restated regardless of contradiction.[1] Sometimes, this may be repeated until challenges dry up, at which point it is asserted as fact due to its not being contradicted (argumentum ad nauseam).[2] In other cases, its repetition may be cited as evidence of its truth, in a variant of the appeal to authority or appeal to belief fallacies.[citation needed]

In its extreme form, it can also be a form of brainwashing.[1]

If the goal is “less harm”, take them to task, ask “them” why this is acceptable to “reduce harm”, yet vaping products are not.

Pie1.JPG

Take this to heart. If vaping products didn’t work, I would NOT tell you they do with a 79% success rate. Question EVERY “authority” placing doubt in your mind, and do not take “because we said so” as an excuse for them to be condescending because of your curiosity,  or allow them to question your integrity.

Question theirs, ask them why they haven’t educated themselves enough to be much more informative, why they would continue to embarrass themselves, and don’t settle for anything less. Hold them to their own “high standards”.

“They”, after all, are a business.

A Billion Lives

a-billion-lives-planet-graphic-larger-1024x540

The actions of government, public health and tobacco control stating there is a desire to decrease or end tobacco use is a smoke-screen. Corruption and power over the general population wielded by those in “charge” is quietly disguised as authority and compassion.

Exposure of this film is essential to dissect the hypocrisy for the public. This film points directly to the inexcusable position “authorities” have taken publicly against vaping products demanding regulation, forcing bans and repeating lies. This has given smokers searching for the truth about these products a bleak, misinformed perspective.

The world needs to see the orchestrated manipulation documented in this film, and they need to understand why it’s happening. Those in charge need to be held accountable for their actions as well as their inactions.

A task not meant for the weak or timid, the ‘A Billion Lives’ crew is about to challenge the ultimate authority, the World Health Organization in Delhi, India – during the biggest “tobacco control” meeting in the world, “The seventh session of the Conference of the Parties (COP7)”. The A Billion Lives premier in Delhi is November 9th, 2016.
