Vaping In The News – October 14th, 2017

hourglass

As I put this weeks edition together, I pondered all the time and public OUR money wasted over the past 10+ years by experts – tracking tweets, buying media, pretending to do studies and claiming science… Then, I wonder…. what have they tried to accomplish… and what other much more important items they’ve done the same with, or ignored in the process.

Johnson Creek is going out of business ~ Science Lesson ~ Marathon Man ~ Bloomberg ~ Tobacco 21 ~ Teen Cigarette Narcs ~ Doug Teitelbaum ~  Foundation for a smoke-free world ~ Tobacco Free Kids ~ Screaming ~

This is Vaping In The News for the week ending October 14th, 2017

Instead of babbling, I’ll lead off with a spirited tweet from Ann, who I (and others) miss dearly.

Science Lesson

One of the best ways to learn is to listen and read. That’s why I like reading Carl’s blog. I don’t always agree with Carl, and that is how I learn.

“Ecigs are a replacement for tobacco products. They are not a replacement for lost tobacco taxes.”

I’ve said this a thousand times.

In this instance, there should be NO tax imposed on vaping products (other than normal sales tax). Period. We agree.

Where I’ve covered the Synar Amendment and the recreation of the problems here in June of 2017, I made a prediction.

In my (highly acclaimed by me) opinion, as the age of purchase was 18, they are having a difficult time keeping their percentage at acceptable levels, and now want to raise it to 21 to recreate the problem.

Well… imagine my surprise when I read (bold is my emphasis)

“….the department hopes to snag even more vendors, projecting a 23 percent noncompliance rate by the end of 2017.”

Many things to cover. David Goerlitz explores Canada, Sinners equal cash. Philip Morris makes public health experts and tobacco control more nervous. Corruption of public health will be no surprise, “guidance” from the FDA and a few other moments make up this weeks….

Canada is under extreme opposition. David Goerlitz is scratching punching the surface in this first of a series while visiting Montreal, Quebec.

This is another example of regulate, restrict, tax and ban worldwide. No matter where you are, fight.

Philip Morris Pledges $1 BILLION

I trust tobacco companies more than government or public health. As an example in the UK, THE Fergus Mason’s favorite “authority figure” hag says this in the following article.

“The tobacco industry has a terrible track record of funding research designed to support its efforts to block policies to cut smoking,” Deborah Arnott, chief executive of London-based Action on Smoking and Health, said in a statement. “Tobacco industry claims can never be accepted at face value.”

This. This is fear. Losing power. Loss of control. Out of the loop. “Policies” are in question. The scream test looks nice in print.

I don’t trust public health, with a few exceptions.

I do however, trust Philip Morris (despite self-promotion of their heat not burn, etcetera) and this initiative far more with Yach at the helm.

This is progress, not control.

A Case for Nicotine Use

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Nicotine is not addictive.

Because it is such an assertive claim and everything is riding on the myth, (Like Santa, you never want to tell the kids) either few professionals “understand”,  choose to understand or will admit it. They instead, are either incompetent or believe it themselves.

Gorokh has a twist I liked:

“…..drawing conclusions about nicotine from smoking studies is like measuring the effects of lemon juice by administering participants rounds of Long Island iced teas!”

The New England Journal of Medicine: Wrong

Surgeon General report: Wrong

Lowering nicotine in cigarettes: Looks like prescribing smoking “could” be coming…

Toxicity of the main electronic cigarette components, propylene glycol, glycerin, and nicotine from Science Direct…

New Research Puts the Final Nail in the Coffin of the NEJM Formaldehyde Study ~ Surgeon General ~ The War on Nicotine begins ~ Prescribing Smoking ~ Nicotine – The Zombie Antidote ~ Big Tobacco Goes Soft ~ Science & Data ~ E-cigarettes and youth smoking: be alert but not alarmed

New Research Puts the Final Nail in the Coffin of the NEJM Formaldehyde Study

It seems in my estimate, 99.994% of what is passed of as “research” is done improperly because they don’t talk to vapers directly, or interperet data incorrectly by choice.

With all the wannabe scientists and researchers searching for fame and funding, there has to be one constant goal to the consumer.

The truth, good or bad.

Science Direct:

E-cigarettes emit very high formaldehyde levels only in conditions that are aversive to users

New Research Puts the Final Nail in the Coffin of the NEJM Formaldehyde Study

Surgeon General

When the last Surgeon General released his report the governmental “Think Of The Children™” propaganda agenda last year, it was very obvious he and his fiction writers were creating an illusion. We all knew that, but damage control may be futile.

Covered by Clive Bates here, now Riccardo Polosa,Christopher RussellJoel Nitzkin and Konstantinos E. Farsalinos have collaborated below.

“The next US Surgeon General should consider the possibility that future generations of young Americans will be less likely to start smoking tobacco because of, not in spite of, the availability of e-cigarettes.”

The War on Nicotine begins

Carl V. Phillips takes a shot at the war on nicotine, tobacco, the FDA and… well….

The War on Nicotine begins

Century 21

I can’t make this up. With the FDA’s announcement to reduce nicotine in cigarettes…and the support from organized crime got me to thinking.

They’ve been wrong about all the other cessation methods, why not.

Carl got me thinking — as he usually does. One search turns into another and although I didn’t find what I was looking for, I found what I’d predicted here

In print:

X-22 is the first and only smoking cessation product in the form of a combustible cigarette.

X-22 is a six-week prescription treatment which utilizes Very Low Nicotine (VLN) cigarettes (95% less nicotine than conventional cigarettes) to satisfy a smoker’s craving for cigarettes while separating the act of smoking from the rapid delivery of nicotine.

X-22 Smoking Cessation Aid In Development

But… wait… there’s more to this company, they also have “high nicotine” cigarettes. Imagine that.

Red Sun

This is its American brand sold in more than 600 stores. It is a high nicotine cigarette. It might seem counterintuitive, especially given the health benefits claimed by its very low nicotine cigarettes, but high nicotine cigarettes could have significant health benefits as well.

X-22 has certain advantages:

“It’s a cigarette, people seem to prefer that”

“It has no side effects, apart from the harmful effects of cigarette smoke”

“It has been proved effective in six clinical trials”

Nicotine – The Zombie Antidote

Saw this in a Facebook group I belong to  – from 2012. Nice perspective.

“My aim here is to defend the rights of people who choose to smoke. It may surprise you to know that, while the percentage of the population that smokes has declined in recent years (due to government propaganda), the incidence of heart disease has not declined. The reason, shock! horror! is that smoking is not the real problem to begin with!”

Big Tobacco Goes Soft

It seems Philip Morris is ahead of the curve of researchers, experts and distinguished nimwits in the tobacco control and anti-tobacco control “field”… again.

My Data Driven Meta-Analysis: E-cigarettes cause less smoking.

kid smoking

Imagine you’re a tobacco control “expert”, a professor, in fact. There is notoriety, fame even. You’re not a scientist, but while bumbling through your meta-analysis, you elude to being one for decades. Ahhh the life.

While walking upright, there’s a noticeable amount of donut powder in your beard (to show your expertise) in almost any sterile artifical setting — where everyone will nod their heads in agreement…

glantz tweet

Since I have the formalities out of the way, I will meta-analyse the chart below for before Professor Puff-N-Stuff gets his grubby paws on it.

I’ll submit my findings for all you math / data / science /statistitians for peer review below!

Aren’t you excited?

Submitted by Kevin Crowley, AKA @VapingIT, SPE, EEI.

(You have to have the fancy-shmancy initials!)

Title

(or whatever they put at the top of important studies)

E-cigarettes cause less smoking.

“Important stuff”:

E-cigarette use was tracked by the FDA & CDC – from 2011 – 2016.

It went up, peaked in 2015 and went back down.

Purpose:

I suppose I should explain myself like they all do, but I won’t, I’ll do it my way.

To have determination a deliberate (Thanks Fig!) and honest assessment of whether e-cigarettes cause more smoking (or not) in youth without using words like “may, might, could” or any phrases like “more studies will be needed to determine” (with or without nicotine).

This could be difficult, and I’m not an “expert” so I certainly hope you’re rooting for me.

More Stuff

Cigarette use in the same time frame – went down. (Check my math, this is important).

kids youth gateway

Findings:

Most children around adults not smoking has caused the children to not smoke. The adults choosing to use (e-cigarettes) vaping equipment instead of purchasing cigarettes, so the children can’t steal cigarettes from parents who are not smoking.

E-cigarettes cause less smoking in children, and adults.

(Being informative is exhausting!)

Result:

Since 2011, adults smoked less, making cigarettes less available to kids. 8% of children will still try cigarettes.

Links:

Chart above is here.

Study below the chart is here.

You can purchase my metanalysis for a billion dollars once I put it behind a paywall.

Conflicts Of Interest:

Like this matters, but I’ll play along. None, consumer.

Opinion

Big Ole’ long sentence assesment warning!

It is in my opinion that around 8 percent of the children in the United States are the core group of rebels who, despite any half-hearted efforts by tobacco control organizations or esteemed professors like Puff-N-Stuff, will try smoking, skip school and daredevil and adventure off into other activities deemed dangerous or delinquent-like.

Less than that will continue try cigars, hookah, pipes and smokeless tobacco.

It happens. That will give more time for experts (uninterested in blaming themselves or rebellion) to have something to do, like blame Hollywood for the remaining 8%.

I want to beat Professor Glantz to the metanalysis submission frenzy:

How’d I do?

Peer review my findings! Someone check my math!

Smoking and E-cig use among teens is down, again – (Don’t tell Stan)

newsies

It’s a long standing whine from inefficient tobacco control “experts”, “those damn kids”.

Wait a minute…

Forgive me, I don’t know where my head was at by typing “those damn kids”.

It’s Think Of The Children ™ .

Future income for tobacco control.

There. Clear conscience. I hope we both feel better.

This graphic is just to make you laugh before we can move on.

I’ll wait.

glantz tweet

All set?

Moving on.

The last chart I saw (from 2015) showing tobacco use among middle and high school students is below, and smoking rates at the bottom was going DOWN.

Substantially.

Seems in the chart on the bottom, the significant decrease in cigarettes use… was – well, ignored. Instead, it added in in the “overall useage”of tobacco.

Huh. Seems in the chart at the TOP, it increased. That made progress “No significant change”.

Well, after National Tobacco Day, that chart is accurate according to the arbitrary law.

I believe this grapic was made during the Surgeon General’s propaganda tour when I snipped this, so I apologize in advance on the source.

I’m sure they were made by someone much more important than I am before I put my remarks and drivel all over theirs.

I think the source is somewhere, if you can bear to go, in here.

lie kids rates.JPG

kids

I’d like to believe the children surveyed in the latest findings are telling the truth to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). I’d also like to believe those organizations were truthful in relaying that information to the public. Not sure. You?

Not sure. You? Haven’t seen Puff-N-Stuff metanalyze it yet… for all I know this is cause for children to pick their noses…I’ll move on.

Either way, smoking is down, e-cigarette use (now called tobacco) is down.

  • Down 20% for “any tobacco product”.
  • Down 20% for “any combustible tobacco product”.
  • Down 26% for any “two (dual use) tobacco products”.
  • Down 29% for “e-cigarette use”.
  • Down 33% for “hookah use”.

Imagine taking away e-cigarettes as a choice.

Would any of the other categories have gone down?

I think not.

Between 2013 and 2015, e-cigarette use rose substantially, and then it dropped in 2016…while “experts” were claiming, screaming, yelling and making a general ass of themselves that they are a gateway to smoking. Yeah. About that…  They’ll be making an ass of themselves and taking credit for the lower rates… any minute now.

kids youth smoking drops again low.jpg

Fool me once… keep babbling…. I’ll make it clearer.

Stop that – you’re starting to look silly.

Youth Tobacco Use in the U.S.

Meanwhile, the Tobacco 21 crowd gears up and wants to restrict tobacco from 18-20 year olds from having that choice. (E-cigarettes). From Adults.

Now look back up at that chart.

Now look without giggling at this graphic tweet from “well respected” our National Tobacco Control Professor, Stanton “Puff-N-Stuff” Glantz, again. It’s like he’s trying to be convincing and all…

You know you want to.

A Nicotine-Focused FDA Framework.

faces

The FDA’s Mitch Zeller & Dr. Scott Gottlieb have been published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

“A Nicotine-Focused Framework for Public Health”

While claiming nicotine is the center of “addiction” and the reduction of nicotine as the answer to reduce tobacco use… their seemingly contrived objective is in part below:

“The agency’s new tobacco strategy has two primary parts: reducing the addictiveness of combustible cigarettes while recognizing and clarifying the role that potentially less harmful tobacco products could play in improving public health. We must also work toward a greater role for medicinal nicotine and other therapeutic products in helping smokers to quit and remain nonsmokers.”

While I am completely opposed to the framing of the nicotine addiction theory without tobacco, there were two other parts I’m not convinced quite yet that we’re on the right path; bold is my emphasis:

  1. reducing the addictiveness of combustible cigarettes”
  2. “We must also work toward a greater role for medicinal nicotine and other therapeutic products in helping smokers to quit and remain nonsmokers.”
  1. The focus on “nicotine” is, in my eyes, a subliminal way to keep the definition of e-liquid as tobacco, manipulate e-cigarette products as tobacco, and collect unjust & undue tax – on a product that is not addictive without tobacco, and not tobacco.
  2. The teetering on medicinal nicotine & other therapeutic products gives a direct odor of pharmaceutical product and control, something they’ve already had and failed miserably with.

I predicted this In March of 2016:

Keep smoking, we’ll just help you lower your nicotine.

Tobacco Harm Reduction

responsibility2

I didn’t quit smoking. I didn’t stop smoking. I switched to a less harmful alternative. I chose to try a “cig-a-like” and I didn’t want a cigarette within 48 hours, and my wife chose to do the same thing.

My journey was no different than most others who accidentally found an alternative to smoking that actually worked with no withdrawal and no noticeable side effects.

research

After more than four years, I’ve found myself in a cesspool of adults –  specifically professionals with titles and “I love me” walls – who pretend to have no common sense.

I take that back, there are side effects to not smoking with my chosen path.

Reading. LOTS of reading.

Research. Finding answers myself.

Asking questions and “networking”. I have found that if I don’t know or understand, someone will, without fail, answer my question both truthfully and in a way I will understand.

Blogging. To get what I do learn & understand out to others who hopefully will find it – and understand it.

Twitter. Immense knowledge and reference from worldwide advocates.

Questioning.

I am constantly questioning everything I thought I knew I was told about smoking.

Tobacco Harm Reduction.

Health and government organizations don’t subscribe to tobacco harm reduction. With them, you will find cessation.

According to Merriam-Webster, “cessation” is to stop.

  1. :  a temporary or final ceasing (as of action) :  stop mutually agreed to a cessation of fighting

blame

What “organizations” and government are doing is promoting a highly profitable and repeatable business.

The vulnerability of someone with great expectations isn’t considered, it is mocked.

They wrongfully blame the consumer. They blatantly blame “nicotine“.

What they “give away” are products made by pharmaceutical companies and an air of authority, combined with an illusion of an answer to help someone stop smoking.

The reality of these methods and the failure rates is dismal and never discussed.

Entertain yourself.

Call a quitline and ask them about the success rates with the patch or gum.

quit attempts the vaper

Success?

Well, I’ll let the display of an “expert” organization speak for themselves below:

quitting

What you do not see promoted is tobacco harm reduction.

For Life.

For the record, I am not against the patch, gum, lozenge, hypnosis, a self-help book, accupuncture, heat not burn, snus, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes, and other alternatives.

Only if used with extreme caution and understanding the well documented side effects, medication is also avaible to help someone choose to stop smoking.

I am, however against giving improper or bias information to those who don’t know any better and rely on “trusted” organizations, public health & government officials.

I will do this until I can’t type, call, scream, tweet or blog any longer.

Think of the possibilities.

I am a consumer. I have no ulterior motive.

I take that back, I have ulterior motive. The choice of smoker, the non-smoker and education of the consumer.

Tobacco 21: Synar Amendment and Nanny-State Funding

money

If you haven’t noticed

Tobacco control, the public health sector, along with politicians are hell-bent on raising the age from 18 to purchase tobacco to 21 (T21) primarily within cities or counties, not states. They must have hurt themselves to come up with a creative name, though. “Tobacco 21”.

A seemingly enormous amount of energy (and likely tax dollars) are being put into this “effort”.

Those “kids” at 18-20 couldn’t possibly walk, get a ride or drive to the next city or county line now could they? As an example, in Cleveland, Ohio – while the state law is 18 – they’ve passed an ordinance to make it 21.

It is destined to fail.

Read this very carefully…….. and read the astute Agent’s question…

nanny

Nanny State

As Senator Steve Linthicum (R – Oregon) puts it,

“freedom from responsibility” will enable more state intervention for many years to come.

The Senator’s Op-Ed is here:

Smoking age law simply more nanny state

Hawaii

is the only state that has their age restriction to purchase tobacco, and “treat e-cigarettes the same as regular cigarettes” set at 21.

The other 49 states are at 18.

Purchasing and smoking are again two different things.

A few states have restrictions the age to smoke and/or possession at 18, and a few are also at 19. Most do not have a “possession / smoking age”. Hawaii “treat e-cigarettes the same as regular cigarettes”

Smoking age

Conflicting with what I stated above, I also found this “map”.

t21.JPG

Update 6/10/17:

Correction: Hawaii, California, and Washington DC are at 21. (Thanks Skip!)

Riding the boot

This seemingly sudden traction in support for raising the age of smoking does not surprise me. The public takes any THINK of the CHILDREN ™ statement seriously until snot runs down their chin. (The adult’s chin, not the kids).

Not to poke the bear, but – oh screw it – I’ll poke the bear.

At first glance, I see trouble smoke on the horizon.

Tobacco “free” kids. They are saying, without publicly admitting it, that they can’t and HAVEN’T been doing “their jobs” in tobacco control.

You won’t hear them talk about their blatant, blinding inadequacies.

With that, they “should” raise the minimum age to purchase to 21.

Posturing? Absolutely. Looks GREAT in writing? Well -not if you read between the tweets, so to speak. In the scheme of thinks, they’re admitting their organizational failures, lackluster “efforts” and it’s beyond obvious they don’t “help” reduce the smoking rates of teens – or adults, for that matter.

Most people start smoking much earlier, by their own admissionwell before the age of 18 despite laws and ordinances to prevent it.

Will requiring the age to purchase tobacco at 21 make any difference in children under 18 finding ways to get tobacco?

I’d like to think so, but I think not.

The Synar Amendment

While snooping around for the reason to “suddenly” restrict consenting 18 to 20 year old adults from purchasing tobacco at their leisure, I have found with the effort, there is funding and reward.

Here’s a look at the Synar Amendment.

There is also funding to be lost.

States must comply with the Synar Amendment in order to receive their full Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SABG) awards.

Imagine my surprise.

Chapter and Residency Program Mini-Grants for Tobacco and Nicotine Prevention and Control

Again, shocked:

Raising the Minimum Legal Sale Age for Tobacco and Related Products\

Huh… since this blog, they took that link DOWN.

I’ll update as soon as I hear something…

Stay with me – my train of thought is a bit – well – discolored and smokey…

The Synar Amendment. Poof.

In my (highly acclaimed by me) opinion, as the age of purchase was 18, they are having a difficult time keeping their percentage at acceptable levels, and now want to raise it to 21 to recreate the problem.

******************************

Added 10/08/2017:

Think I can’t read MINDS?

As stated in its annual report on “key strategic metrics,” the Department of Environmental Health is hoping to increase “the percent of retail tobacco visits with sales to minors.”

The noncompliance rate of its sting operations rose from 8.3 percent in 2014 to 16 percent in 2015. In fact, the department hopes to snag even more vendors, projecting a 23 percent noncompliance rate by the end of 2017.

******************************

Denver Is Hiring Teen Cigarette Narcs

As my curiosity and attention span equals or exceeds a cat, I briskly asked my favorite tobacco control “expert” of her insight – and I spelled Synar incorrectly in the tweet, forgive me. Tweetin’ ain’t always easy. 🙂

Acceptable levels being – they want them UP so close to 20% that they’re needed, but not enough to lose funding. They’re having a difficult time with that. Smoking rates are dropping MUCH faster than anticipated or desired. See, this plan isn’t working for them.

So…

HOW the *%&^ can TWENTY percent of underage sales BE an ACCEPTABLE level?

I’ll repeat that. The acceptable level of SALES of TOBACCO to minors is set at 20% – and funding will STILL commence. Two out of ten CHILDREN can possibly purchase cigarettes according to this and be acceptable.

(Don’t get me wrong, the WeCard program, in my opinion, is an awesome program from what I see.)

Vape shops were self-regulating and doing this LONG before NICOTINE was deemed tobacco.

Bold is my emphasis

The inspection program, named for late U.S. Rep. Mike Synar of Oklahoma, is a federal mandate requiring each state to document that the rate of tobacco sales to minors is no more than 20 percent at the risk losing millions in federal funds for alcohol and other drug abuse prevention and treatment services.

Here, in 2012, (bold is my emphasis)

demonstrates that the average nationwide retail store infringement rate of tobacco sales is down to 8.5%.

Tobacco Sales To Minors Reach All-Time Low

_________________________________________________

train.JPG

That’s good, right?

Well – wait a minute, the train is chugging but pulling into the station.

According to the “agreement” they can:

“Negotiate interim targets and a date to achieve a noncompliance rate of no more than 20%”

“Nicotine” is now a “tobacco product”. “Use among teens”… so…with e-cigarettes…

If they raise the minimum to 21, they create a whole new class and “infringement rate” – and in the process, create more funding to do what “they’ve” already allegedly done. Job security.

If smokers under 21 want to try e-cigarettes, oh, too bad.

Electronic Cigarette Age Restrictions May Drive Teens to Traditional Cigarettes

Harm Reduction Drives Younger Vapers, Not Flavors

“If “children” are *already smoking, they’re *smokers regardless of age. Think of the children™.”

In the end:

Most of the posturing going on – at least around the United States – isn’t about children.

Sure seemed like it. caphysicians.jpg

Final mixed thoughts:

Obviously, no one’s complained or thrown their arms up about the Synar Amendment  –  they must be just fine with the status quo – as if their funding depended on it.

To have each organization claiming they want to “reduce” tobacco with this disturbing insanity of ANY type of loophole is beyond words.

I don’t want “children” to start smoking as young as I did, and I was purchasing them at 9 without a second look. Within these restrictions, they not only restrict tobacco purchases, they are also lumping in and restricting the choice of e-cigarettes as an alternative.

What I DON’T like is restricting of age consenting ADULTS from choice.

I’m not positive of “where” the Tobacco 21 movement is “going”, but with funding comes diversion and manipulation I can still, at times barely comprehend, so cut me some slack for not having a full grasp on it and its leaders “direction” at the moment. It will come to me eventually.

In the meantime, read what Brian Fotjik has to say:

“Nicotine” is not tobacco.

nicotine thingiverse.JPG

The insideous fight in Australia continues where cigarettes are still legal, and the option of e-cigarettes are being blocked.

This is a guest collaboration blog with my friend, Broony, the Thunder from Down Under.

Nicotine Is NOT Tobacco

The definition of “nicotine” and e-cigarettes must stop being compared to, or thought of, as tobacco.

E-cigarettes are helping people, by choice, permanently switch from smoking to a much less harmful product. Nicotine is not problematic when used in eliquid or snus. It also isn’t harmful in the patch, gum or normal healthy diet. Nicotine is not tobacco.

There are many reasons adults use nicotine, besides pleasure, it is a quick remedy for anxiety, ADHD (yes, adults suffer from that too) and more. Nicotine is also recognised as an aid for schizophrenia, memory loss, and mental health issues.

If nicotine is tobacco, it will be taxed, regulated, and would be designated for funding, health insurance rates and more “as tobacco“.

Other “chemicals” in tobacco aren’t considered “tobacco”.

“Nicotine constitutes approximately 0.6–3.0% of the dry weight of tobacco”.

That’s found here at Wikipedia.

Milk isn’t beef. Syrup isn’t wood.

Should Nicotine Be Classified as Tobacco?

This Is War

fight

The war created to stop vaping is by public health experts and organizations that do not understand nor want to understand the science and pychology of nicotine.

They LIE saying nicotine is addictive.

Continuing the confusion, they pretend the definition of nicotine “is” tobacco and lack intelligence or are unwilling to separate the concept that vaping is another way to decrease tobacco use, nor capitulate vapers are an independent group of individuals who have found that vaping is a successful tool in their lives.

Many studies recognise vapers as ex-smokers who show no signs of being a smoker. This war against e-cigarettes must stop.

black market.JPG

Creating A Black Market

There will never be a successful prohibition, most people who would never otherwise touch black market goods will change their minds to keep from going back to smoking.

Just like smokers in Australia who are not ready (or put off) to switch to vaping already – obtain much of their tobacco now through the black market.

Because they truly cannot affort to appease their habit, people who would not normally break the law are doing so because they are forced to by lies being told to the government by those not prepared to listen to those who know:

Anti Tobacco & Nicotine Zealot, ANTZ for short.

duct tape.JPG

Legalize Nicotine

STOP lying. STOP withholding information for consumers. If vaping was allowed and nicotine infused eLiquid could be sold in Australia, more smokers would eventually switch. Doing so would create less

  • of a burden to the health system
  • downtime at industry
  • money going to organizations trying but failing miserably
  • money going to the black market
  • money going overseas

People are still smoking.  Plain packaging doesn’t work. Cigarettes are still available.

The government must be made to see this and bring change to the laws banning e-cigarettes – effectively blocking smokers from choosing to switch to a virtually harmless alternative nicotine source.
