Bloomberg Grant
Fine, the actual title isn’t “Bloomberg Grant”. By giving the CDC Foundation (not the CDC itself – see 3rd question here) some money… that the title I chose, and the “upstanding purpose” he’s trying to (legally) hide behind, are both misleading.
“the CDC Foundation received a grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies to monitor and evaluate e-cigarette use”
CDC Foundation to Monitor E-Cigarette Use in Teens
Sources of youth access to JUUL vaping products in the United States
“Youth sources of access to JUUL vaping products appear to mirror youth sources of access to other tobacco products.”
“By comparison, 20.0% [95% CI = 18.0–22.0%) of current users bought JUUL products themselves.”
Few like that I mention the Synar Amendment (link) over and again for a reason.
So…you may notice I mention (among other things) the Synar Amendment (over and again) for another reason:
Why? Because 20% failure rates embedded in the Synar Amendment are👉 as designed & desired. Like with cigarettes 👈.
Anyone heard compelling demands to tighten existing laws from any public health groups yet?

I’m not sure why they’re looking for things they already know… but here we are.

Tweet of the week:
Is this how regulation over adult choices is decided? On internet surveys? Really? Huh.
It isn’t so much that there is a survey that concerns me. It is that one sentence and all that it implies.
“This study is for regulatory purposes only (not marketing) and the results will be shared with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.”

Well – I hope no one retweets this.
I heard they don’t like stuff like this, so cut that out. It’s not nice.
