FDA To Take Action
Scott Gottlieb thinks there’s a ‘presumption’ they’re safer, guidelines to test these products are coming.
How does one test something when they “just don’t know”…
Censoring Twitter in the name of health
This one’s good… very good.
Surveys on Vaping: It’s All About The Money
69,000+ on the survey!
Heat Not Burn
It isn’t my business to coerce someone NOT to try something that might just work. As a consumer, I’d like to know my options. As a human, I show bias. I try not to. I am for choice. If someone has decided to switch from smoking, “doesn’t quite like” e-cigarettes, (or patches, gums, toothpicks) and can find another alternative, then they should be able to both try, and choose.
“I’m for whatever works for the informed consumer. Patch, gum, Heat Not Burn, vaping, acupuncture, books, hypnosis, counseling, etc…. Do I “like” them all? No. It’s not about or me or are what “I” like. What may work as choice for a consumer is first.”
Do I like the idea it is made by a tobacco company? Not really. Do I think it will be beneficial to smokers trying to switch much more efficiently than pharmaceuticals? Yes. Does that make me happy? Why yes, bias-ly I answer, thanks for asking. Is judgment on the product based on who makes it? Yes. Stop that.
FDA ‘Jumps The Shark’ With Claims About Misleading Packaging
Via Carl V. Phillips….. because he knows stuff.
Via Hans Schmidt – I’m liking this…
Just insert the number of cigarettes before the switch, choose between MTL and DL and the calculator comes up with an average figure for the daily nicotine requirement (mg/day).
The calculator lets you choose your favorite nicotine strength and indicates the corresponding liquid volume (ml).

Dipl.-Inform. Norbert Schmidt aka Norbert Zillatron (VS IG-ED)

I am told an English version will be available soon and I will have that posted on Twitter, and Facebook – as well as this blog when it is ready.
Campaign For Tobacco-Free Kids
Market E-cigarettes and Tobacco to Children.
I’m a bit pissed off this week with, among other things, Tobacco-Free Kids and their beyond obvious deception.
“clearly part of an orchestrated campaign”

Speaking of marketing to children:
Sorry, yelled at you. From Truth Initiative, another in the direct marketing to children scheme of things…
Teen Vaping Is ‘Hardly An Epidemic’
Steve Birr is, among other places, also over at The Daily Vaper.
